I come from Beijing, China. Now I'm the deciBel Trainee Producer at Forma Arts and Media Ltd, Newcastle, UK for one year from May 2007 to May 2008. Chinese traditional embroidery, especially on silk is very famous and splendid. One of the Chinese earliest paintings on silk can date back to more than 2,000 years ago. One of the Polychrome Paintings on silk was unearthed from the Han Tomb [Han Dynasty] at Mawangdui, Changsha, Hunan Province, China. Thrillingly, one of the earliest Chinese female mummies was also discovered in this tomb. When archeologists opened one of the lacquered coffins, the silk inside around the mummy was still as bright, colourful and soft as the present ones….. Unfortunately, it is shame that as a Chinese girl I was born without embroiderer's talent. But I'm still happy to join this big family….
